The city of Winston-Salem is located in the state of North Carolina, United States. Winston-Salem falls in the Forsyth County and is not only the largest city but also the county seat of the same. It is also the fourth-largest city in the state of North Carolina and according to recent estimates, its population stands at 223,000. The city was incorporated in the year 1849 and was named after the local hero of the Revolutionary War, Joseph Winston.
